An exciting opportunity to collaborate in the Central PMO to deliver Fixed Wireless new technology introduction projects within Regional Development and Engagement (RDE).

A bit about your role

The Senior Technical Project Manager is required to support and deliver new Fixed Wireless technology introduction projects through to ready for deployment within the Regional Development and Engagement (RDE) organisation of nbn. A large amount of enthusiasm is required in the RDE as it is accountable for building the digital capability and digital economy of regional and remote customers. The role requires someone who is empathetic to our customers’ needs.

Reporting to the Program Director Capability Planning & Delivery, the role of Senior Project Manager (Technical) will work together with multiple business units across nbn. You are to seamlessly deliver FTAR projects for the development, continuity, and upgrade of Fixed Wireless Network within the RDE business as part of the central PMO. You will utilise the PMO framework, governance, reporting, project management, process, change management, business intelligence and risk management to successfully deliver collaborative outcomes.

This role will require you to be accountable for the successful delivery of key initiatives for the Fixed Wireless Engineering Group from concept, through business requirements including commercial approvals and ultimately to implementation or launch. You need to carefully navigate complex project environments that include other project management streams in specialist domains including technical, operational, and regulatory.

A bit about you

As the successful candidate, you will bring empathetic experience in project/program management coordinating the activities of multiple projects with complex cross-functional virtual teams within a technology dependent enterprise. Your expertise includes an understanding of project scheduling, milestone definition, project review and reporting. You have experience in effective communication, escalation, and resolution of key issues & risks to senior stakeholders and aa trusted ability to effectively present to senior management to supply an end-to-end view of project status.

As the Senior Project Manager, you bring highly developed and empathetic communication skills. You are collaborative with strong problem-solving capability, negotiation and influencing skills combined with a deep understanding of project and program management concepts & principles, products, tools. You have significant experience in managing complex business programs or large-scale business improvement programs with developed interpersonal skills while working for large service providers and government customers. You ideally arrive equipped with experience developed in the telecommunications sector and preferably experience within the Introduction of New technology (in either carrier or telco vendor) and current Fixed Wireless (mobile network) experience.
